download name in bintube app should match name of nzb file not of the nfo file name.
I use nzbmatrix and when you click download in google chrome and have nzb's auto open, the download name does not match that of the nzb file. Currently the download name matches the nfo file name. I especially see this when i select android apps and pc apps. For example I download 3 android apps and all 3 download names in bintube app are the same "android" and the folder names also say "android".

Add a check for duplicate file
I have lots bins I have downloaded and lots of new ones in queue. I would like there to be a check to ensure that the same bin is not downloaded twice. If you could add a fudge factor into it to so that way if the file size is exact then the names wouldn't have to be exactly the same.

Remember Window Tabs and Layout
It's been a while since the introduction of the new content panes within BinTube, and the application does not remember which ones you close, or move to different regions of the application.
It's annoying to change things to the way you like them all of the time.

download tab and status tab as one split status area
i have 20+inch monitor res is 1680*1050
the download tab and status tab both have lots of empty space they could be made into split screen along the same area so you dont have to click the tab to go back and forth. if done, it should be optional.1 vote -
Preallocate the final file size for video files so they can be streamed over Samba while downloading
Right now Bintube creates preview video files which grow in size as the download progresses. Bintube's player knows how to deal with the growing files and continuously plays them, however some media streamers don't.
For example, if you are downloading a 1 GB video file and start playing it on an Asus O!Play Air over Samba when the file is 100 MB, the media streamer will only play the file until the 100 MB mark, regardless of the actual file size by the time it has reached the 100 MB position.
By allocating the full file size (which is already… more

Automatically FILTER password protected archives
Almost all password protected archives require annoying, fluitless, servey completions for fake passwords that dont work. BinSearch.INFO automatically warns users when an archive is password protected (in other words probably BS).
Please add a feature to ignore password protected archives so I dont have to go through a trial and error guessing spree to stream a video.
Thanks!

Secure Searches (https)
BinTube, thanks for helping protect privacy through secure connections using https. It would be great if you could extend this feature found with downloads to include searches — just in case prying eyes are interested, particularly in today's climate where ISPs are being recruited to help police the Internet.

option to use a custom resolution in fullscreen mode/more "10 foot" friendly interface options
on my htpc, my preference is to keep the windows desktop running at 720p to increase readability from the couch without having to change dpi, however i would still like the option of switching to full 1080p when going fullscreen in bintube, this functionality already exists in vlc, with any luck it wont be that hard to expose it

DLNA streaming
I am not sure how you would go about it, but I think it would be awesome if you could add the ability to stream the videos over DLNA to Xbox 360s, PS3s, etc. It wouldn't be easy, but it would really make your product a must have item. Tversity does something similar to this with web streams, but it doesn't support Usenet.

Bugs that NEED to be fixed asap
There are 2 bugs I noticed that need to be fixed (or maybe its the same bug).
The one that stops the download cause there 'isn't enough space'... I got 640GB left and over 5GB ddr so this shouldn't be a problem. Please fix this.
The ' decoding' problem. According to the support when downloading multiple large files the reader could get stuck at decoding.
Even with only 4 downloads of around 45 GB each all end up decoding. A restart is the only way to fix this for me. After I restart the computer it needs to download up… more

Fix The extraction Hang Problem
Bintube sometimes hangs on extraction and repair of downloads especially when you have a number of items in the download list. To fix this you have to pause the dowloads that are extracting and repairing then restart BinTube usually by using the task manager to terminate the program. If you dont pause the files that are stuck while being decompressed and repaired and you close the program you lose them when it is restarted.

Add the ability to select which Bintube server on Bintube Accelerator
On Bintube accelerator it does not give you the ability to select which Bintube server you want to connect to.

Do not store our passwords as plain text.
I signed up and went to change my password. For reasons which I will file a separate bug for, directly after I had to click on the "Lost Password" link on the login page. I was very surprised to find that the email I received contained my password in plain text, meaning that you aren't running it through a one-way hashing algorithm. C'mon guys, this is Web101 stuff here.

Automatically resume playing when buffer runs out
On slow connections if you start playing a video too early it will run out of buffer and stop playing. This means I have to get off my lazy a** and start the video again, find where I left off. It would be better to just simply automatically resume when there is enough buffer downloaded to play the rest of the file.

include a wish list for files not yet found
If a search item doesn't bear your desired result, you could add it to a wish list. Then, if the item should ever show up on Usenet binaries, BinTube will alert you.
