I suggest you ...

Stop Unpausing Automatically

Please stop unpausing downloads automatically.

If I pause a download that means I want it paused until I unpause not just because a file before it finished downloading, extracting, or repairing.

I cant take it. It kills my computer when it starts encoding, download, and extracting three different downloads at the same time.

So for easy example is still two files but pause the the second one. When the first one finishes downloading the second one becomes unpaused. Yuck!!!

    Good Idea Will.
Escovan, regardless of how many downloads you have going on at the same time, extraction only happens one file at a time. If you check CPU usage and Disk IO you will notice that there is no difference between 1 download and 10 downloads.

I've been also using the pause button, though i have a high perfomance pc with striped array HDs...

Using research manager i just found out bintube is extracting at 1mb/s ... using 7zip on the same disk i get 40mb/s.. what could be going on here?

Yes, this has been driving me crazy. occasionally it will happen when i just have one thing downloading and i pause it. If all my points weren't used on something else, i'd vote for this.

I have large "green drives", I have to pause downloads often or they never unpack correctly and I have to close Bintube and reopen it to get them going again, would like the option for slower machines to NOT continue downloading until the previous download is fully unpacked.

@admin: (ofcourse) you're right; I spent some more time testing and tuning my hard-disk-stripe-set and now it's super fast. Sorry I didn't test it on another machine, but it would be hard to do, since I have only 1 license. :+) Thanx for explaining though :)

I Totally agree with this one, I have 4 harddisks (RAID-0) crunching as hard as they can but they do a better/faster job if bintube would just allow me to fetch & extract them one-by-one. I can imagine that on slower machines with only 1 standard harddisk this clogs up the whole system.

        Hi,

Also, a "Wait" option should be added that would do what currently happens.

So if a user clicks pause the its paused forever until the user unpauses it.

If the user clicks wait though the status would become "Waiting" and as soon as the downloads in the list finish before it, it would start up. Same behavior as now but controllable by the user.

        Thank you,

        Will
