We’ve started work on this. We’d appreciate it if supporters of this feature elaborated on how exatly this should work. Don’t just say do it like this or that newsreader, but tell us exactly how you want it.

Please make sure you update to the latest version of BinTube Usenet Reader before commenting.

    Thanks.

Aaron, search on the Android store for the app Nzb Leech+. You'll need to enter your Bintube account details in the app settings to connect.
It's more basic than the Bintube software but works well. I often use it when I'm away from my PC.

Agreed. I have no idea how this works but it sounds excellent.

Again, could this be optional? I understand your preference Will, but I personally love that Bintube trusts me to know that 'delete' means... 'delete', and being asked everytime if I'm sure I want to do something (like Windows does) get's on my nerves. Otherwise, I'll then have to go through a second stage to delete a download, be that through the Recycle Bin or a check box system.

Some good ideas there. I particularly like the suggestion of the change log, maybe this could be included on the readme page that appears after update? The Bintube guys clearly do a lot of work regularly releasing updates and even though some are mentioned on the blog, I'd like to know all of the fixes/updates that are made.

Would that make extraction/repair faster? If so then I think it's a great idea. If not then I'm not sure how this would be necessary.

I've got to admit, this would be a life-saver. I've previously had to leave work early and another time run home from the pub, all because I forgot that I left the computer running.

This would save me from my own stupidity!

Personally I don't see the need for it, my connection to Bintube is lightning fast and secure already. But I don't mind so long as it is not compulsory.

We are going to add this feature but make it optional. In any case, past searches will be saved on the client side, so there should be no privacy concerns.

If you do implement this I would request it be optional (maybe on by default but can be disabled in the download settings). While I see the merit of UsenetShack's suggestion, I personally do not want a cache file of my searches saved in the software, just as it is confidential online (through https and Bintube's 'no logs' policy).
